More From Second Day of VBS

We sang our two songs in English as we do each worship session of VBS ("Lord I lift Your name on high" and "Every move I make"). Today we sang two songs in Japanese as well. It is so beautiful to hear their voices ring out beautiful worship songs! Ayako does such a great job leading worship. I just assist with hand motions for the English songs and Ayako does the rest. Hiroshi shared a message after worship (today was about the fall).

Apparently there had been some noise issues in the youngest group yesterday (the age range is from 3yrs old - 2nd grade ... it is a big gap and a challenge to keep everyone engaged and focused). So today we taught them "silent fox" (also known as quiet coyote) before we broke off into groups. It was hilarious!!! We said "ok let's practice ... I want you to make as much noise as possible and when you see the "silent fox" everyone must stop and be silent! We did three practice runs and they loved the chance to be obnoxiously loud.
We began using "silent fox in our group to quiet the kids while entering and leaving the bank building. And the best part is the kids start doing it to each other when someone gets too loud. ;)
