A Sweet Day

Day 6: Saturday, August 6th

What a full and blessed day! English class in the morning.

After English class, Yumi san took us to a bakery, Benkei Bread. It was so cute and smelled amazing (as bakeries usually do). It was fun to look at all the special breads and pastries.

Ballet lessons at the Spitze studio in the afternoon.

We also stopped at a very nice place which served Japanese sweets. We tried a sample of a green jelly dessert. It was delicious!

A sweet family invited us to have dinner at their home along with their neighbors. Their daughters, Kana and Mana, both take ballet at the Maico studio. Mana and their neighbors' daughter, Emiri, also attended VBS. She is the youngest one in these pics (I'm holding her in one of the pics). Emiri's family actually lived in Torrance the first few years after Emiri was born, so we enjoyed comparing notes on California, Orange County, and Trader Joes.

We also taught an impromptu ballet basics class to everyone after dinner. They picked up the ballet positions and arms very quickly! :-)
